Job Description

Position Title: Pharmacists Customer Support Executive

Salary:

  • INR 18,000 per month (in-hand) with a total CTC of INR 22,000.
  • Performance-based incentives of up to INR 5,000 or more.

Location: Powai, Mumbai

Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time


Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated and empathetic Pharmacists Customer Support Executive to join our growing team. In this role, you will serve as a knowledgeable resource for customers, offering expert assistance with prescription medications, over-the-counter products, and general pharmacy-related queries. You will play a crucial role in ensuring customer satisfaction by providing accurate information, resolving concerns, and facilitating smooth pharmacy services.


Key Responsibilities

1. Customer Support and Assistance:

  • Provide professional advice to customers via phone, email, or chat about medications, dosages, potential side effects, and general pharmacy inquiries.
  • Assist customers with prescription refills, medication alternatives, and drug interaction queries.
  • Resolve customer concerns related to prescription accuracy, delivery issues, or billing queries promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain high customer satisfaction through clear and empathetic communication.

2. Pharmacy Expertise:

  • Offer accurate and up-to-date guidance on prescription drugs, OTC medications, supplements, and healthcare products.
  • Educate customers on proper medication usage, potential adverse effects, and safe storage practices.
  • Counsel customers on drug safety, including identifying interactions, contraindications, and allergies.

3. Prescription Review and Coordination:

  • Verify prescription orders for accuracy and compliance with pharmacy standards.
  • Assist customers with insurance-related queries, including prior authorizations and formulary verifications.
  • Address issues related to prescription availability, shortages, or substitutions.

4. Documentation and Records Management:

  • Accurately log all customer interactions, complaints, and resolutions in the customer support system.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of customer information in compliance with HIPAA and other legal regulations.
  • Keep prescription histories and other relevant data updated.

5. Team Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and other team members to resolve complex medication issues.
  • Liaise with healthcare providers and insurance companies for prescription clarifications and approvals.

6. Quality Assurance and Compliance:

  • Adhere to standard operating procedures and comply with regulatory guidelines issued by authorities such as the FDA, DEA, and state pharmacy boards.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in drug regulations, new medications, and industry best practices.

Skills Required:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for customers without a medical background.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities with a professional and empathetic approach.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with pharmacy software, CRM tools, and customer support platforms.

Job Requirements

Experience:

  • Open to candidates with any level of experience.

Education:

Past Role Experience:

  • Experience in Customer Support (BPO/Voice/Blended) or as a Pharmacist preferred.

Language Proficiency:

  • Basic English
