A. SSC GD Constable Age Limit 2025

As per the SSC Constable Eligibility Criteria, candidates aged 18 to 23 years can apply online for SSC GD 2025. Reserved category candidates are eligible for age relaxation according to government norms specified in the official notification.

B. SSC GD Educational Qualification 2025

Physical Standards For Candidates :

Chest : Male candidates should have the following standards of chest measurement.

The SSC Constable Eligibility Criteria require a minimum chest measurement of 80 cm when unexpanded, with a mandatory expansion of at least 5 cm. Certain categories of candidates are granted relaxation in chest measurement as per the guidelines. Female candidates will not be required to undergo a chest measurement. However, it will be ensured that they have a well-developed chest.

Height : Weight must be proportionate to height and age, as specified by medical standards.

Physical Efficiency Test (PET) : Candidates must complete the race within the specified time limits.

As per the SSC Constable Eligibility Criteria, female candidates appearing for the PST (Physical Standard Test) or PET (Physical Efficiency Test) must submit a self-declaration regarding their pregnancy status. If a candidate declares she is not pregnant, she will be allowed to participate in the tests. However, in case of a false declaration, the risks associated with undergoing PST/PET will be her sole responsibility.

If a female candidate declares her pregnancy before the tests, a confirmatory pregnancy test will be conducted. If the test confirms pregnancy, regardless of its duration, the candidate will be declared temporarily unfit. Her candidature will be put on hold until after her confinement.

Vacancies will be reserved for temporarily unfit candidates, and they will be re-examined for PST/PET six weeks post-confinement upon submission of a fitness certificate from a registered medical practitioner. If found fit, the candidate will be appointed to the reserved post and granted seniority benefits as per government regulations. Female candidates who test negative for pregnancy will be allowed to participate in PST/PET without delay.
